Authors are kindly requested to follow the guidelines for the composition of Abstracts. Abstracts not prepared according to the instructions will not be accepted either for presentation or for publication.

Typing Instructions:

· the entire abstract, including title, author(s), institution and text must be typed within the

rectangular box

• capitalize the TITLE and state the authors’ names (maximum 6) and institution(s)
• do not include degrees or titles
• the typeface used must be TIMES NEW ROMAN, use font size 12 (12 characters per inch)
• type the abstract using single spacing
• abstract will be reproduced photographically, therefore do not erase or smudge the abstract and only use the original abstract forms.

Form of the presentation

The Scientific Committee will select the abstract, after removal of all identification of the authors and reserves the right to choose the form of presentation (oral or poster), which will best serve the scientific interest of the Congress. Authors may submit a number of abstracts but only one oral presentation will be allowed for each author. Abstracts that are not selected for oral presentation may be accepted for poster presentation.

The Original Abstract should be returned with the enclosed Acknowledgement of Abstract Card to the Scientific Secretariat.

Mailing. Abstracts will only be accepted if they meet the above requirements and are:

mailed on the original abstract form (copies are not accepted), preferably accompanied by a diskette (WORD or Word Perfect). Mail it by airmail or express service to the following address:

sent by e-mail as an attachment written in WORD or Word Perfect following the size of the

box and all other requirements stated in the above guidelines

· filled out on the abstract submission form on the Internet at http://www.isppm.de

Abstracts sent by fax or abstracts that do not meet the above requirements will not be accepted.

Mailing of blinded copies is not necessary.

Dimensions of posters: 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (height)

Abstracts will be reviewed and acceptance notified to the Authors till 1 July, 2002.

Abstracts will not be printed nor appear in the programme unless the registration documents and payment in full have been received by the Scientific Secretariat.
